ESAF has been actively responding to natural disasters across India ever since its inception. Within a year since its formation, ESAF was involved in carrying out relief activities during the Latur earthquake. Realising the need to respond to natural disasters immediately, ESAF formed a dedicated team of experts and volunteers to lead relief and rehabilitation efforts. This led to our successful interventions during tsunami, Chennai floods, etc. ESAF was one of the first-responders in the 2018 Kerala floods. We carried out extensive relief and rehabilitation efforts during the Assam and Kerala floods in 2019.
